Designing for the game
I joined the team after playing the already colorful prototype, with the idea of turning the world into a candyland. The intention came from associating the two players, represented by colorful spheres, with bubblegum. I had to work with candy designs that could be easily translated into platforms that suited our level designs.
Modelling
Since modelling came after level designing with placeholder platforms, I took inspiration from the shapes I saw and assigned candies to them. I went straight to modelling, keeping the shapes really simple and knowing the textures would be the ones giving them character.
UV and Texturing
Texturing was the best part of this project, because I could start seeing the platforms transform into delicious candy that I would love to eat. Getting that reaction from other people further confirmed that the textures were working as intended.
Implementing
I replaced the placeholder platforms with the candy I created. Lastly, we also added a toon shader, that made them look even tastier.
Software:

Maya (modeling)
Adobe Photoshop (texturing)
Unity (import)
